~On The Highwind~

There's a soft vibration underneath your feet from the whirring engines on the airship, and you look around in confusion. The sky is going past at an extremely fast rate, and the airship appears to be going to no particular destination, just flying...
You walk towards the cockpit when the sounds of an argument begin...
"Vin, no! I said turn it THAT way!" A rough, yet somehow cute voice sounds upset. It is answered by a soft quiet whisper of a voice.
"You should be more specific, I can't tell where you're pointing."
"THIS #$^#in' lever over here!" You start sharply at the sudden obscenity. You weren't expecting that. "Jesus Christ, is it THAT hard to fly this thing?"
"So tell me, how long did it take you to learn?"
"God#$^# you, Vin! I hate it when you do that."
"Do what?"
"Turn what I say against me in that #$^# stoic way of yours." A small cloud of smoke comes from the almost closed door, and you inch closer to try and listen more carefully.
"Highwind, I'm just saying you should be more patient...I've never flown an airship before."
"Yeah, I'm #$^#in' aware of that NOW."
"Why do you want me to learn so bad anyway...?"
There's a pause. "I just want you to be able to fly with me, Vin. That's all."
There's a very long pause. You inch forward, trying to hear if they are whispering or just stopped talking. With a shout, you slip and fall into the room, causing the door to bang loudly as you thump downwards.
"JESUS #$^#IN' CHRIST!" A light colored creature jumps back sharply, colliding with a much darker creature next to it. The two slam into the controls, and the airship takes a sudden sharp drop.
"#$^#!"
The smaller lighter-colored creature leaps up and grabs the controls in it's paws, struggling to right the airship again, swearing the entire time. The darker melcey quietly sits upright, brushing itself off, watching the lighter with concern only in his eyes.
Finally, the ship comes back into control underneath the light-colored creature's guidance, and he turns and looks at you.
"That was #$^#in' smooth, brainiac. Who the #$^# are you?" He saunters back towards the darker-colored one.
"A guest, most likely, Highwind." The darker one closes his eyes. "I am Vincent Valentine, currently a Melcey, as is my compatriot." He gestures with what appears to be a metallic claw on his left forepaw.
"I'm Cid #$^#in' Highwind, thanks for almost wrecking my ship!"
The white one grumbles and resumes puffing on what appears to be a tiny cigarette.
Melceys!
Vincent sighs. "Don't mind him, he's like this all the time..."
"What's that supposed to #$^#in' mean?"
"Nothing..."
An argument rages on again between the two, which you sit by and wait to end. It comes down to Cid pulling down Vincent's bandanna over his eyes, Vincent stealing his goggles, and a huge wrestling match that ends witht the two slumped over eachother panting.
"Do you always fight this much?" You ask curiously, watching them with a sweatdrop.
"He started it." Cid points with his tiny paws. Vincent closes his eyes again.
"I did not, Highwind."
"You did too."
Cid pinches the larger melcey's ear and smirks. Another match ensues, the two tearing about the control room. You watch the ship shudder and the two stop for a moment. Cid smiles at Vincent.
"Ready to try again, Vin?"
Vincent pauses and looks at his paws. "You really want me to fly with you...?"
"Of course!" Cid throws a paw around Vincent's neck. "I tease you sure, but you know I love you, right?"
Vincent blinks and sighs, and Cid hops back onto the box he had been using to reach the control. "Alright, let's get this baby to Costa del Sol!"
Vincent sighs even deeper. "Not that place again...I always get burned."
"Costa del sol, here we come!"
"...sigh..."
