Pikachu versus Double Head
~There was a special CD released in France that had some incredibly rare remixes of Pokémon music on it. Thanks ta da Pokémon Music Network I was able ta pick up several of em. This one, in particular, I think will sound familiar ta most. This is a remix of da old, classic, Pokémon Dance Mix. Except now it rocks so hardcore, it's not even funny. This makes me nostalgic fer a song I thought was silly ta begin with. WOO. Anyway, this is fantastic.

Double Head versus Pikachu
~Of course, there's an alternate version! Hehe. Two mixes fer one. Again, thanks ta da Pokémon Music Network fer lettin me grab these babies. I don't know how I woulda picked em up otherwise. They're incredibly hard ta find.
Anyway, this one is also of da Pokémon Dance Mix, altho this one starts sooner and has a slightly more sinister feel ta it. These are both fantastically awesome in their own ways. Seriously, ya gotta get em both. They're GREAT.

Gotta Catch 'Em All (Club Mix)
~Another rare remix picked up off a rare CD thanks ta Pokémon Music Network, this one doesn't particularly do a noticable theme, but it does have sound effects. Including that fantastic sound of a Pokéball opening that never fails ta make me sigh. Yes, I'm that lame. I love that noise. Also features other clips from the show including Ash, Exeggcute, Bulbasaur and a ton of cool stuff.

Du Bist Nicht Allein
~Another remarkably rare remix of the German ending to the Second Pokémon Movie. Phew. Anyway, again, thanks ta da Pokémon Music Network. This one has a more hip-hop thing to it and I'm really not feeling this very much. But it's so rare! Must hoarde ARRRGH

Polka o Dolka! (Hyper-Dance Mix)
~These little mixes are only about a minute long, but are a great testament ta how flexible this song is. Of course this one is my favorite, but that's cause I'm an incurable dork. This is like...super rave. Like it says, hyper dance Polka o Dolka. I can see Meowth in raver clothing going crazy ta this. Arbok on a turntable...darn it, I need a life.

Polka o Dolka! (Ondo Mix)
~Ya remember Pokémon Ondo? Well, compare da two and ya can see da similarities. Got a lovely ethnic feel. Much more mellow, and yet still so addictive. I can still see Chansey's singing to this.

Polka o Dolka! (Tango Mix)
~HAHAHA ya know what Polka o Dolka really needs? MORE ACCORDIANS! And this fulfills that need admirably. Mwahahahahaaa.

Polka o Dolka! (Swing Jazz Mix)
~This is beyond awesome. This is like...1920's Polka o Dolka. It's fantastic. Again, images of a 1920's Meowth arunning around in a dapper tilted hat at a rakish angle comes ta mind. Heheheeee.

World of Pokémon (Orchestral House)
~Okay, I've had these songs at da top of my page under "I desperately want these" but I never really expected anyone ta send em ta me. After I searched everywhere fer em, I found out that da CD they were on only came out in Europe, and there was almost no way ta get it nowadays. I kinda gave up, but I left em up there cause I wanted ta hear em.
Lo and behold, a few days ago someone from Germany (I believe) emailed me, saying they had ALL of the tracks that I was looking for! I was so overjoyed. Over da next few days they emailed em ta me one by one, and I can't believe I have them now. It's mindboggling. I never ever thought I'd get these, and yet here they are! A testament ta da kindness of strangers on da internet.
ANYWAY, about da song itself. I love this cause it was this one bit at da beginning where it has da actual startup sounds from da gameboy game and it makes me nostalgic. This sounds very serious at first, then hits some fairly hardcore techno remixin madness of da opening Pokémon theme we all love to death, and if you don't what's wrong with you. This is quite awesome.

On My Way (Celtic Dub)
~Now this is nostalgia, or at least it should be fer hardcore Pokéfans. This one is not as upbeat as World of Pokémon, but it has this kind of...playful feel. Da tune should be easily recognizable, but just fer specifics, this song plays when you enter Route One, right off of Pallet. The very first steps on yer Pokémon journey. Ah, it makes me so nostalgic. Not only that, these remixes are all very high quality, and this one in particular I do really love. Everytime I hear that little fluttery tune, that intro ta Route 1, I think back ta when I first played. I really love this remix, it has this beautiful kind of feel ta it of playfulness and carefree adventure that I think really typifies Pokémon.

Gotta Snap 'Em All (Mystic Mew Mix)
~I loved Pokémon Snap. SHUT UP. I am THAT much of a nerd. I had lots of fun playing it. So hearing a remix from Snap is always amazing to me since most people don't even remember that game existing. I do though, and I love this remix fer it. It's just such a throwback ta those days when I spent hours tryin ta get those Pikachu onto those stumps for the perfect shot, and lamenting the lack of Parasect. Sob. At least there were some adorable Magnemite shots in there. This one is a neat little remix of the main theme, which I think'll be very easily identifiable fer those who played Snap.

What's Your Name? (Team Rocket's Hardcore Style)
~This is another one of those Pokémon game remixes. I believe this one is fer when ya put in yer name fer Snap (as da title may suggest), but I'm not sure. Either way, this remix is incredibly cool. It's a little more upbeat then the Mystic Mew Mix, and maybe more so then the other ones entirely. Regardless if ya really recognize da source material, this mix is really upbeat and very catchy. It just bleeds that frantic energy that reminds me of Team Rocket. Mwahaha.

Mezase Pokémon Master (Parapara Mix)
~Hahaha, I got this in a massive Pokémon song trade with someone else. I have no idea if this is official or not or whatever. But it certainly DOES sound Parapara-ish. Seriously. If ya thought da original was fast, this BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER.

Aluminum - Pokémon Thundershock 2003
~And again, Raizy is my song source. Yes. This is a remix someone did of da main opening theme fer Pokémon and IT ROCKS SO AMAZING HARDCORE AWESOME. It's incredibly cool. I dunno where Raizy got it but it kicks butt. All over in several different directions. This is so awesome.
