"Specimen C-2 complete..."
The computer made a beeping sound as the tube was emptied of water, and C-2 fell to the bottom having nothing to support her.
"Should we wake her up and commence testing?" Nameless Professor asked.
"Not this time... I've got a different idea for her."
"What do you suggest Dr. Kagakusha?"
"You'll find out."
"I will not and you know it!" The Nameless Professor was mad.

**************************(End Prologue - yeah that was a prologue, just forgot to say so)**********************

"Uh... are you awake yet... um... what was your name?"
Dr. Dowasure had walked into the girl's room to wake her up, but the ol' bad memory kicked in and he forgot her name.
"I don't know. I thought you did." The young girl's voice had a melodious accent, like bells chiming. It was soft, and it seemed it wasn't used higher than a small talking voice. Other than that, she was normal, with coppery skin and red-blonde frizzy hair. Her eyes faded from green to blue, and she had no visible pupil, but most thought they just couldn't see it. "Oh my, I guess you do have amnesia. Well follow me, I'm sure Dr. Kagakusha knows," said Dr. Dowasure.
"Alright..."
She didn't trust his memory, after overhearing Dr. Kagakusha talk about him, but decided not to disobey. They walked down quite a few halls, with Dr. Dowasure checking his sleeve every few minutes, but finally made it to the destination.
"Now just wait here while I ask. Don't go anywhere or you might get lost."
With that Dr. Dowasure walked slowly into the room.
The girl leaned against a wall, finding the coolness of the metal comfortable. She hoped it wouldn't take very long.
"'ey, girl. Yes, you, yer the only girl in th' hall, right?"
He had a point. And whoever it was was on top of things, expecting her question.
"Who are you?"
"M' name's Cyrus."
"Are you a specimen? Because the professors said the only ones in cells were specimens."
"No, 'M a *@$&in' pixie. Of course 'M one of th' #@$& experiments!"
"No need to get testy there, jeez."
Cyrus wondered if she even knew that she knew...
"Oh there you are! Good your still here. Oh, I see you've met C."
"He said it was Cyrus," she said.
"And Dr. Kagakusha said your name is... um... what was it again?" He called to Kagakusha.
"Her name was Caito, you moron! I just told you!"
"Oh right! Like she said. Well you must be leaving now."
Dr. Kagakusha had left by this time, obviously finding something better to do than listen to Dr. Dowasure forget things.
"Okay."
As they started to walk off, Cyrus got a better idea. He grabbed her shoulder to stop her from walking off, and Dr. Dowasure kept walking along, talking to the air behind him.
"Hey, I was supposed to leave now." Her voice was soft, and she didn't sound angry. Maybe she didn't want to leave?
"Not now y' are. Yer stayin' her fer a moment to help me get outta here."
"And why exactly would I do that, hmm?" Caito's musical voice was tinged with amusement.
"'Cuz 'll kill y' if y' don'."
Coming from Cyrus this sounded pretty believable, especially if you didn't know about his emitter. But she did. Caito listened well, and learned a lot about the PGRI.
"How would you do this? You have an emitter."
"^@$@it, jus' get me outta here!"
"Fine, if you insist. I'll let you out." She walked in front of the door and used her mental powers to open it. Of course, she supposedly had 'amnesia' so she didn't know she could do this. She stood there looking as confused as one could look while showing little emotion.
"How in the world did I do that?"
"Yer psychic powers, duh."
"What psychic powers? I don't have any..."
Cyrus gave an exasperated sigh. "Of course y' do, look what y' jus' did!"
"Well then, don't just stand there, we best be off. Don't look at me like that, I'm going with you since I got you out." Her tone remained the same as usual, but her features showed she wouldn't budge and inch on this.
"Fine, fine, let's jus' go before th' Lady finds out." Cyrus stared at the girl. "Tha' doesn' seem like runnin' clothes." (Hillbilly!)
"I can run just fine in this."
"Whatever."
"I walk silently for one reason or another. I could make noise if I wished, but do we want to bring attention upon ourselves?"
The answer to her question was clear, so left unanswered. Even if the answer to his question was wrong. He couldn't tell, so why point it out?
Finally they reached a door. It had a number pad on it, locking the door.
"How th' &$%@ do y' open thi' $#&% thing?"
"Let me try. Anyway, you could set off an alarm or something. Get away from it."
He shrugged and stopped playing around with it.
Caito walked over to the pad, and looking like she knew what she was doing, typed in a few numbers. To Cyrus's surprise, it opened.
"How th' #$%&..."
It was Caito's turn to shrug. "I listen."
Cyrus mumbled some words, ununderstandable (is that a word? 0-0) through his own accent, which unlike Caito's, was an impediment, not a nice addition, but sounded suspiciously like 'I coulda done that.'
********************************************************
"Now look what you did! I told you to lead her to the exit, and you lose her!" Dr. Kagakusha was getting herself worked up into one of her trademark rages, which Dowasure always seemed to be cause of.
"I don't know what happened! I was just leading her away from where we met... I think she was talking to someone. Who was it? Let me check," Dowasure checked among the scribbles on his sleeve to see if he wrote it down. Kagakusha, however, already knew who it was.
"C."
*********************************************************
"Holy crap!"
A Nameless Professor came down the hallway, right when Cyrus and Caito were walking past. Suddenly, a slightly mutated Vulpix came down the hall, right when the prof said that, and magically turned into a human, which freakily resembled Ash. He scampered away when he saw them.
"What the $^#@ was that?"
"A defect. What are you doing C?" Nameless Professor almost forgot about Caito, because he was starting to get a rope, but then remembered her. "Why are you here with him??
Thinking quickly...
"Um..."
I said, THINKING QUICKLY.
"Right!"
Caito grabbed Cyrus and ran down a network of halls, dragging him as best one can drag someone floating.
"Nice job, thinkin' so quickly like tha'."
"Shut up, Cyrus. I didn't see you do anything."
He rolled his eyes. "Tha's because 'M stupid like tha'."
Caito looked at him. He sounded to serious, yet it was obviously sarcasm. Or was it? As if reading her thoughts, Cyrus said, "Of course I was bein' sarcastic."
What a wonderful trip this'll be, Caito thought.

**************************************************************
"Are y' sure y' know where yer goin'?"
Caito did the math angrily in her head; that was the fifth time in 10 minutes he had asked that.
"Yes, just like a minute ago, I still know where I'm going. More or less."
The silence started to get on Cyrus's nerves, because even with the shoes she wore - which where tossed in some hallway frequently, with her claiming that they were of no use, but were often recovered, evidence for Cyrus's claims of going in circles - Caito still made no noise walking down the metal corridor. Also, he thought it was fun to bug her.
"More or less?"
She glared at Cyrus. "Will you shut up yet?"
"Fine, fine, jus' calm down." With that they continued to walk - or float - down the hall.
A half hour later, filled with aimless - "I still know where I'm going!" - wandering down the network of halls with many claims from Cyrus they were going in a huge circle, they heard voices.
"Now Dowasure, don't mess this up. We don't want them to know what we mean to do."
"Yes, Dr. Katari."
Dr. Dowasure and Dr. Katari turned the corner to see Cyrus and Caito attempting to stuff themselves into a room - two 6' people don't fit together in a small room well - and started to walk fast to catch them before they ran. The two specimens decided to give up and walked towards them. Katari stopped and waited, but Dowasure continued walking to stare at the two.
"Fascinating!"
"What is it this time, Dowasure?" Katari asked in a long-suffering voice.
Dowasure was too busy scribbling on his sleeve to notice she talked to him. Before he turned around, Caito noticed something about her, but wasn't able to see it. She glanced at Cyrus, who had a knowing look on his face. She made a mental note to bug him about it later.
"What's what?" Dowasure had an innocent look on his face. Katari sighed.
"Your memory is getting worse and worse... Anyway, nice to see you! So, how've you been? Hmm, hmm? How was your day?"
Everyone stared at Katari. She cleared her throat.
"Sorry."
"What were we doing here again?" Dowasure had been standing there trying to remember for quite some time.
"Um... I think I forgot."
Everyone stared at Katari again. She grabbed Dowasure and stalked off talking to him in a fierce whisper.
"Let's go now before they come back," Cyrus said after a bit.
"Um, where were we going again? I think I forgot."
He glared at Caito until she started walking again.
"Cyrus, what was it that Dowasure had written on his sleeve? I know you know, so tell me."
For some reason he was wasn't looking at her; it was obvious how hard he was trying not to.
"Tell me."
He still wouldn't look at her. She didn't know, so why burden her with the knowledge? "Look there's th' exit."
"Oh, now it comes."
********************************************************
"Now do you know where you're going?" Cyrus and Caito found their way out of the PGRI without contact with any professors, but now they had to figure out what do to next.
"What're y' talkin' about? You think yer comin' with?"
If he was thinking this was about to surprise her, he was wrong. She looked unfazed, like she expected it. Or she was about to argue.
"Then who will help me learn to control my psychic powers?" Cyrus mentally cursed. Of course she'd want help with that. "'ll contact y'. Now go."
"The emitter?" This time he cursed out loud. "$@^! thing. Get it off."
"I'll make a deal," Caito started to say, but didn't get to finish.
"No."
"Come on! I'll get it off, you help me."
"S'pose helpin' y' includes a place t' stay," Cyrus said.
"Yeah that would help a bit. Wait... I know what's wrong with you!"
Cyrus looked at her askance. "Wha' might tha' be?"
Caito got a small grin and said, "It's because I'm a girl, right?"
"Wha' the #@^$ are y' talkin' about?"
"Oh, right. I forgot how young you must be."
"Three," Cyrus answered automatically. "Wha' does that have t' do with anythin'?" He raised an eyebrow. "Wha're y' suggestin'?"
Caito blushed at that, but it was hardly noticeable against the copper tone of her skin. She spoke mildly, however on the edge of embarrassed anger her voice was. "I was not suggesting anything. What did you think was being suggested? Back to the point. You want that emitter," the word 'emitter' spoken disdainfully, "off, you help me."
While she was talking, Cyrus had gotten an idea. He didn't like it, but it had to be done. "Fine. Y' get it off, y' get yer help."
"Okay." Caito ran off, returning with a rather large rock. However, she put it off to one side and prodded at various buttons. In the end, though, she stabbed it with the rock.
"Right. I did my part."
Cyrus didn't want to do this to her, destroy the trust, however tentative it may have been, she obviously already had in him.
"Come on, what are you waiting for?"
Would he go through with it?
"Cyrus?"
He had to. It was for her own good.
He used his mental powers to immobilize Caito, and stiffly she floated a foot above the ground. Her eyes widened slightly in shock, but snapped back quickly, and she gained a cold air about her. He sighed and walked on, with Caito floating awkwardly behind.
*********************************************************************
Drak was sitting in the living room chair staring out the window blankly. He wondered why Cyrus had never come back after the last visit. Sure, the visits were in frequent, but his last had been over two months ago, and Drak hadn't been able to contact him.
"Drak-sama? Do you want something to eat?" Teishi slipped into the room carrying a plate of sandwiches and a glass of water.
"No thanks, Teishi. I already ate. Why don't you-" Drak abruptly stopped and his eyes started to glow that familiar shade of blue.
"Drak-sama?"
Meanwhile, Drak was in the place he had been many times, where two people talk psychically in the mind. He didn't know what to call it; it was just there. The mysteriously-gone-now-returned Cyrus was there, but he wasn't alone. There was some girl there, but she could wait.
It seemed Cyrus wasn't expecting her either. He glanced at her, looking surprised, then shoved her roughly away. She seemed to take the none-to-subtle hint and skulked off a ways into the darkness.
"Told y' t' stay back there..."
"Cyrus? Where've you been?"
Cyrus stopped arguing with the girl, gave her a warning glance, and walked over to Drak. "Th'... place."
"The PGRI?"
"Yep, I bailed him out." The girl had sneaked a little closer to them. Drak finally noticed she was about as tall as Cyrus, yet looked Drak's age.
"Shu' up, y' @^$# girl," Cyrus mumbled, and she slinked farther away, but kept shooting defiant looks at him. "Who-" "No one. She jus' followed me." Cyrus lead them further away to make sure 'no one' could hear. "No one?"
"Th' girl's th' second M-2 specimen C. M-2 C-2, I 'spose."
"Why don't you tell her that?" Drak didn't seem to find the wrong in telling her such things.
Cyrus looked like he would've smacked Drak upside the head if he weren't his only friend. "Why would I do tha'? She doesn' know so 'm not goin' t' tell 'er... I need t' ask y' somethin'."
"What?"
"I need 'y to take care of th' girl. She needs help to' learn t' use 'er mental powers, but they'll take 'er if they catch me."
Drak was surprised that one, Cyrus was asking for help, and two, he seemed to care about someone he seemingly met recently. Maybe Drak wasn't Cyrus's only friend...
"I'll have to ask Ella E if she can stay, but I'll at least teach her." How? He didn't know the first thing about teaching. Maybe Mewtwo'd help him.
"Thanks, kid."
"Yeah... By the way, did she really help you get out?"
"Yeah, the little *@%&# did."
Drak looked past him at the girl - he knew he wasn't getting a name out of Cyrus; he'd have to ask her - who was absentmindedly twirling her hair in her fingers with a dreamy, yet sad, look on her face. What could she be thinking about?
"Shouldn't you get going? They may find you." There was no need to say who 'they' were; the word spoke for itself around Cyrus.
"S'pose we should. Bye, kid."
He walked over to the girl and shook her shoulder - he didn't seem to be too gentle with her - taking her out her reverie. They both disappeared, leaving Drak alone, who then, too, vanished.
When the blue faded from Drak's eyes, he saw Teishi sitting on the couch with a sandwich in his mouth, which was promptly eaten.
"Drak-sama, what happened?"
"Nothing. It was just Cyrus." On that note, if it was just Cyrus, why'd he enter so forcefully into his mind? He guessed Cyrus didn't want the girl tagging along. "Do you know where Ella E is?"
"Last time I saw her, she was in the kitchen, Drak-sama."
**************************************************************
"Katari, I'm trusting you to find C-2."
Dr. Kagakusha called a small group of doctors and professors to a room to give them their task: to find Cyrus and Caito, to bring Caito back, and to do whatever with Cyrus they wished. She put Dr. Katari at the head of the group, since she was partly responsible for her getting away in the first place.
"I will, Dr. Kagakusha."
****************************************************************
"Ella E? Can I ask you something?"
Drak - with Teishi tagging along behind him - peeked into the kitchen to find Ella E fixing lunch for Growlissa.
"I was just talking with Cyrus, and he was wondering if he could-"
"Sure he can! Of course he could stay. He's always in that cave; it'll be good for him to be around humans. It's cramped, but we can find room."
Drak looked at her. "No, not-"
"He can sleep on the couch!"
At that moment, Monty walked in. He had obviously been eavesdropping.
"Wait, that's where I sleep!"
"Listen, it's not-" Once again, Drak went unnoticed.
"Okay then, I'll find a sleeping bag. Is he coming soon?"
"Yes, but-"
"Okay then. I'll get it set up."
"Miss, would you-" Teishi went ignored as well. Ella E walked through the kitchen and upstairs as if he hadn't said anything.
The guys all stared after her. Monty mumbled something, through which the words 'PMS' and 'mood swings' could clearly be heard in response to a "What's with her?" from Drak.
*********************************************************************
"'kay, we're 'ere. This time, stay out o' it."
Cyrus and Caito finally made it to the back door of Ella E's house; it would have been odd to see two 6' tall people float up to the front door and ring the bell.
"Where's here? Is this the place you're dumping me?"
He forgot. He hadn't told Caito where he was taking her. But he didn't like how she put it, and hated the fact that she was right even more.
Before Cyrus could do anything, Ella E opened the door. "Hi Cyrus! Oh you have a friend there? How nice. Come in!"
Cyrus gaped at her - this wasn't how he remembered her, the little he knew - but Caito looked normal. She just assumed that's how she always was, not PMS was to blame. Then Drak and Mewtwo appeared behind her, and the two floated past Ella E, who was still all excited. Drak said something quietly, and Cyrus started laughing. Caito and Ella E looked confused, but only because Ella E hadn't heard, and Caito didn't know what that was.
After a bit of muffled laughter and confusion over Ella E's odd behavior, Cyrus, Mewtwo, and Drak walked upstairs to talk. More confusion ensued from this, not only from the two girls. Colt and Caleb looked at Ella E for answers - they had come downstairs as the three went upstairs - but she just shrugged. **********************************************************************
Upstairs...
"... So that's it Mewtwo," Drak said, wrapping up the explanation.
"I see... why can't she just teach herself? You did, Cyrus."
"Yeah, but I happen t've had three years. They probably want 'er back soon anyway."
"How old is she?"
"Well... I don' know. Can' be older than a month 'r so."
"I suppose we can help."
"Where are you going to go?" This time Drak asked something.
"Back t' th' cave. Maybe th' demon things'll be there."
The sound of a plate shattering met the two's decent down to the living room; Mewtwo found it enjoyed going out the window more then down stairs.
"Look what you did!"
Atelli and Ella E were arguing again, yet no one seemed to know which side they'd be on.
Drak was the first to speak. "What's going on?"
"Ella E dropped a plate, but at the same time was trying to wash it. Atelli is getting on her case about it, but Ella E just says that she shouldn't do the dishes anymore," Colt replied. "We do want help, but we also don't want to loose plates."
"... And we can't figure out who to support." That part was from Caleb. For once, he said something that didn't provoke Colt.
"Like my mother once said, 'You can cheer for the bull or for the bear; cheer for both, and you'll get killed and eaten,'" said Caito. This brought on confusion from Drak and Cyrus, which then spread to the others because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with that.
"I could see getting eaten if we try to get between those two," said Caleb. Monty coughed and mumbled something to Drak and Cyrus who laughed. Then Cyrus told Caleb and Colt; Caleb got more confused and Colt looked amused, but whether it was at Caleb or what Monty said, no one knew.
While the rest of the group talked and laughed at Caleb's ignorance - the latter was mostly Colt and Cyrus - Drak started to think. How could Caito be quoting someone who never existed? Could she be talking about... Kagakusha? He dismissed that thought. No, that couldn't be right. Unless Hana received more power from somewhere, he couldn't see her being parental. Did she make it up? That thought was shot down too. She'd have no reason. Then why...
His train of thought was broken as Ella E and Atelli walked out of the kitchen, beaming as if they just had the most pleasant conversation that involved gifts and hugs.
Seeing the fun was over, Cyrus left. Drak didn't really know what to say to the girl he left at the house, but first he had to deal with Ella E who was angry again.
"I thought you said it was Cyrus, not some girl."
"I didn't say anything, actually. You didn't let me."
Ella E seemed to realize this finally, meekly murmured sorry and left. Drak scratched his head. He'd never understand girls.

The only place Drak could think to start was to ask the newcomer's name.
"Caito," she had said a clipped tone. It may have just been her accent, or the fact she was none to pleased with being dumped somewhere against her will.

Katari and her small group of volunteers approached the house that was rumored to be M-2 spec. C's infrequent hangout, says a anonymous person. They came to the conclusion that would be the place it'd dump C-2, also where they found the other kid they wanted the last time.
She stopped, but the rest continued on until she thumped one on the head. They all turned and glared at her. A few days - three at most - to study what she does, and they could determine the perfect time for the capture.
**********************************************************
An hour or so later, Caito approached Drak looking sullen and asked for his help. He called the Mewtwo, as it'd be capable of the teaching. The Gencey, Eclipse, laid on its head, as usual.
Quickly, they discovered unlike the rest of the M-2 line, she would not be very powerful mentally. In addition to the training Mewtwo gave her, she took to training herself physically.
Drak noticed she was often on edge, and when he was with Mewtwo during lessons he felt as if he was being watched. He couldn't shake the feeling until he was away from the specimen. Mewtwo felt similar. but had no luck in locating the monitors.
The next two days passed quickly, and in the same way as the day before: Caito was distant and often in her own world, the rest of the house didn't notice her - she liked to sleep outside, despite falling temperatures - and the presence would not leave.
On the third night, Drak had a feeling something would happen, but couldn't figure out what. It was a quiet night, but not like the usual quiet. Typically, he stayed up into the early hours of the morning, but this night, he fell asleep right away, with Teishi on his feet like a cat.
***********************************************************
Seeing the perfect opening to seize C-2, Katari roused the rest of the group and told them to ready the net.
"Why now?" One of the helpers was actually awake enough to speak this soon after waking.
"Because now we can do our job," Katari said blithely, "and we won't get Dr Kagakusha angry with us again!" There was much murmuring in agreement.
***********************************************************
"What do you mean, gone?"
"Not there, poof, puff the magic dragon, disappeared gone, is what I mean," Colt said irritably. He wasn't a morning person.
When Mewtwo had woken up, it found the tree empty, and woke up the nearest person: Colt. Why it didn't wake up Drak, even it didn't know. If Pokemon could be groggy, he'd wager that.
"Thank you for that wonderful explanation, Colt," Monty said dryly. He got a glare in return.
"I say we should go make Cyrus get her, since he brought her here in the first place," Ella E said. She was obviously rid of her PMS'ing stage and was much easier to talk to.
"You do realize that he could strike sparks on a damp cloth if it had a lab coat on - literally?" Atelli ventured to say something from the corner. She seemed to be too, but it might have been just a lull.
"She is right, you know. But so is Ella E. Not this again...," Colt mumbled.
"I vote Drak goes and tells him," said Caleb. Everyone but Mewtwo, Drak and Teishi nodded. "Majority rules. Go tell him."

After what felt like the 10th cave, Drak almost gave up. He couldn't remember which cave Cyrus had taken up residence in, or if he was still in it. He was about to turn back when he tripped over something soft and fell flat on his face. The thing he tripped over stood up and walked over to Drak, who was nursing his nose. "Wha're y' doin' 'ere?" He ran over Cyrus. "Watch where yer goin' next time, 'kay?" "Cyrus, I need to tell you something."

"I s'pose we have t' go an' save 'er @#$, right?"
"I think we should."
Cyrus sighed. He felt ... responsible ... for her. He couldn't figure it out. Cyrus, responsibility and others did not go together. It was unnatural. He held out his hand to teleport him and Drak to the PGRI, where he had hoped - no, wished - he'd never go again. Most likely, Drak had the same feeling.
**************************************************************************
"I bet you're wondering why you're here, no?"
In the tiny cell that Caito now inhabited, Katari strolled in to talk to the thing. She hoped it wouldn't bite or something. She knew she was being silly, but you never know, with that look on her face...
"No, I don't want to know why you kidnapped me in the middle of the night with a net that happens to electrocute when I try to do anything with my mental powers. No curiosity here, no way."
Katari waggled a finger at C-2. "Sarcasm is anger's ugly cousin!" This earned a much darker look than before. "The reason that we did that was..."
In a lecturing tone she probably didn't know she acquired, Katari droned on about how she was born, how the memories came about - creation, quite fascinating really - why she's back - tests - and the like. It seemed the specimens face had gone about as dark as it could get, because it just went emotionless. They were both just glad Dowasure wasn't there to scritch on his sleeve.
"... And that's it. You get it?" A slight nod answered her. "Good. Expect tests later." She left to let the girl stew over what she learned.
**********************************************************************
"Have you tried to contact her?" Apparently Cyrus forgot which way to the cells and was lost with Drak. He realized what an obvious answer that was to the predicament.
"I will now." They found an empty room. Drak positioned himself so he could see if anyone was coming.

"'ey, girl. Y'ere?"
"No, I don't happen to be in my own head. Sorry, please try another brain." Yep, she was here.
"Ha ha, very funny. They talk t' y'?"
"Yes. About everything." Cyrus raised an eyebrow.
"And... ?"
"If you're expecting tears or the like, I'd advise against holding your breath. You may die from suffocation."
"Gee, thanks. Where are y'? We're 'ere t' bust y' out."
"We? Who'd you bring?" She didn't give him a chance to answer before she continued, "Never mind. It doesn't matter. Where are you? That might help a bit." In front of her, a small map materialized slowly. A blinking dot symbolized Caito's position. "Put it here on the map."
After a bit of Cyrus struggling to find were he was unsuccessfully, Caito suggested bringing in the other person. Cyrus disappeared for a second, returning with Drak.
"I should've seen that coming... Now, where are you?"
Drak had been smart enough to check where they were during their trip, so he knew which way was the way back.
"Okay then, just keep this in your mind, then you can finally repay me for getting you out in the first place."
Cyrus realized partly why he felt responsible for her. If he hadn't gotten her to get him out, she would have led a normal life, even if it was all a facade. He couldn't tell which would be worse: living a lie, or how it was now. "Didn't I already do tha' when I gave y' somewhere t' live?"
"Mmm... Oh yeah. Oh just get going. They said they're starting the testing soon..." She broke off with a slight shake of her head that might have concealed a small shiver. She didn't know the half of it, Cyrus thought.
********************************************************************
"Dr. Kagakusha? What is this test supposed to do exactly?"
"Nothing that concerns you, Dr. Katari. Shut up and do your job."
"Mrroow," Katari said under her breath.

"When are they going to get here? I bet they're lost again," Caito said to herself. She was only talking aloud because it was so silent in the room. Without warning, her head started to throb painfully. The pain escalated, and she blacked out. That didn't stop any suffering; if anything, it got worse. This time, however it was in a different form.

When Drak and Cyrus found Caito, she was asleep on the floor with a look of pain on her face. Obviously the test she spoke of earlier. Drak tried to wake her up, but when he touched her, she clung to his arm. Drak hoped he wasn't blushing, but as Cyrus was trying to stifle a laugh, he probably was. Soon Cyrus got a hold of himself, and smacked Caito upside the head. That succeeded in waking her.
"Drak? Why are you holding my arm?" Drak had been trying to wrestle out of her grasp, achieving only to make it seem he was grabbing her arm. He let go quickly. This time Cyrus didn't try to smother a small laugh. At least he's getting some entertainment, Drak thought. They suspected there was some sort of camera in the room, because usually they watch when they perform a test. After this revelation, Cyrus quickly teleported them back to his cave.

"Thanks Cyrus. And you too Drak." By her tone, Drak half expected her to ruffle his hair. Caito seemed to realize this, and cleared her throat. "Tell Mewtwo thanks for the help too. Although," she added, "I don't know when I'll need to put myself in a bubble. Maybe a joyride in the sky? But, formalities done, I'm going."
"Where are you going? You don't really have anywhere," Drak pointed out.
"Well, yeah, but I can find my own cave. One without cliffs to fall off of."
"But-"
"Kid, let 'er go if she wants t'. She could probably karate chop yer @#%." Caito gave a sheepish grin at that, then turned and walked off leaving the two behind, possibly forever.
