Showdown   at   the   Pokéring!

~Welcome! Welcome to my collection of Pokémon fanfictions, or Fanfics for short. This is the first one I ever wrote. It had the very first appearances of Radic and Red, key players in my Pokémon dramas. This is in it's original form as it was first posted on the Pokémon board. Enjoy!
Note: I wrote this a LONNNGG time ago, back when I was first playin. Me and my bro were, I mean. And believe it or not, these were my Pokémon's actual names and their moves as well! ^_^ Far from da tempered perfection we have taday, huh? ^_^ Notably, Nova, Ruby, and Callima's names are different, and Radic's attitude, towards his Pokémon and just in general, seems so odd ta me. ^_^o Both him and Red seem very strange. ^_^o But that's an early fic fer yas, right? Ya'll also notice that most of Red's Pokémon kept their names. Odd, huh? ^_^o This fic is so weird ta me now. ^_^o
Oh, I'm thinkin of rewritin this at some point, maybe fer da anniversary or somethin. ^_^
Anyway, read and enjoy. ^_^o

A small thing on my own pokémon battle with my brother...I have Blue, he has Red, and our battles always end up oddly....Of course, this tail is slightly embellished. Note: Me=Radic. Brother=Red (he never was very imaginative)

An Epic Battle = Part 1

As Radic walked along the path, he patted his Pokéballs affectionatly. Inside he had his greatest and best pokémon so far. He would need them for his match with Red. Red was a bully, who taunted Radic with saying how many more Pokémon he had. Radic narrowed his eyes. He would show Red...Red who said he had the best pokémon. He would show him. It wasn't the amount of Pokémon, but how good they were! And each of his Pokémon were raised from when he first caught them, as devoted and loyal to him as any Growlithe.
Finally Radic reached the Pokémon ring. He watched as Red stepped inside. They both looked alike, but Radic knew they were from two different worlds.
"It's agreed then." Red said in a mocking voice. "6 pokéballs each."
Radic nodded solemnly. "Agreed."
Red flipped aside his vest and ran a finger across his 6 pokéballs. "Hmmm..."he said, sounding thoughtful. "I think I'll spare you the power of Ratty, because it would kill your pokémon instantly, so I'll start out easy."
Radic fumed inwardly, but nodded again. "Do what you please."
Red stopped his finger on one of his pokéballs. He took it out, letting it expand in his hand. he threw it dramatically into the center of the ring.
"Growly, GO!"
The Pokéball burst open, and the humongous dog with stripes and huge fangs snarled from inside the ring. Radic thought carefully.
"An Arcanine, eh? Well, I can make quick work of it." he said tauntingly. he took out one of his own pokéballs, flipping it elegantly over one finger, and tossed into the ring.
"GO ACCIDENT!"
Accident burst out of his pokéball with a flare of energy. The blastoise leveled it cannon's directly at the Arcanine. Radic smiled smugly, Accident was his best pokémon.
"Growly, quick attack!"
The Arcanine swiftly launched itself at Accident, slashing with it's claws. They took the blastoise across the face, leaving some bloody trickles. Both Red and his pokémon looked surprised and dissapointed.
"What? Minimal damage?!"
"Okay, Accident, WATER GUN!"
"Growly, Return!"
Water crashed down where the Arcanine had been a moment before. Radic snorted angrily.
"Guess poor Growly couldn't take it."
Red growled angrily. "So you're bringing out "Accident", nice name."
Radic got defensive. "it's the name I gave him, and you should know why!" Radic said angrily.
He had accidentally choose Squirtle as his starting pokémon. Highly frustrated, he had called it Accident out of contempt. After a while, he had become accustomed to it, but Red loved to tease him about it.
"Go Weirdo!"
Uh oh! While Radic had been remembering, Red had called out another Pokémon! This time a Vileplume stepped into the ring. Radic remembered how Red had named it, after he had caught an Oddish. Red found the name funny, but Radic didn't. Radic quailed. He knew that grass was good against water.
"Accident, Return!"
Accident came back into the pokéball in a beam of light. Red wagged a finger at Radic.
"Ah ah ah, is Accident retreating?"
Radic's face grew red. Angrily he threw his next pokéball.
"Go Kitsune!"
In a flash of white fur, tails, and flame, the Nine-tails burst out. Vileplume stepped back. The Nine-tails lashed it's tails in fury, reflected from it's owner.
"Kitsune, Ember!" Radic cried dramatically. Whipping it's Nine-tails over it's head, Kitsune focused energy through them. Stoking up it's internal furnace, it realeased a hail of deadly flames, all small, but burning brightly, landing in all corners of the ring. Red stepped forward to call Weirdo back, but his surprise had been his undoing. He was too late. One of the embers landed on Vileplume's leafs. One caught on fire. Weirdo ran around, crying "Vileplume!" plantively over and over. Red patted the fire out, but Weirdo was just about to faint.
"You can't use your trickery to overcome MY Pokémon!"
Radic had been dancing in the air at his almost victory, joined with Kitsune, when he stopped dead, sticking his toungue out at Red.
"Ha! You don't HAVE a water Pokémon! Your Squirtle is still just a plain, stupid Squirtle, and you don't even use it!"
Red lowered his hat brim angrily. "I don't need water to defeat your stupid fox." Swiftly looking through his Pokéballs, Red selected one and threw it into the ring.
"GO Antartica! I choose YOU!"
Radic stepped back, highly surprised. His Nine-tails ran protectively behind him. Antartica! The dreaded name was...was of...Red's Pokémon-
"Articuuuunoooo!" the Pokémon's name cut off Radic's thoughts. The beautiful bird perched in the ring, it's heartless eyes as cold as ice. Kitsune gave a weak cry from behind him. The Articuno was far more powerful then it was....what could Radic do?

To be continued!...
Hope you like it so far.

Continued because of popular demand. :)p I'm glad some peeps like it! I feel very fulfilled. And I found out my brother's Arcanine is actually called Growly(I had called it stripes at first). Heh.

An Epic battle=Part 2!

Articuno fixed it's cold glare on Radic. Kitsune gave a whimper from behind him.
"Nine...nine taaails..."
Radic looked down at Kitsune, then turned his gaze to Red. Red looked at Radic with a confidant smirk, a look that said he had already won.
"Get your fox out in the ring now, and let's see who wins."
Radic's face grew red with anger.
"That's NOT FAIR! You said you wouldn't USE Articuno! You PROMISED!" Radic shouted. Red flipped his hat around, so it's brim faced the back of his head. He closed his eyes, raising a finger and speaking with a lofty tone.
"As one of my favorite quotes, "All's fair in love, war, and Pokémon battles." Red said, then laughed afterwards. Radic clenched his teeth. What in the world did he have that could possibly defeat Antartica? He ran his finger over the Pokéballs in his belt. He thought hard. Antartica gave an impatient squawk.
"Hurry it up, Radic, or are you surrendering now?"
"Never! I will BEAT you!"
"Not like you have before."
Radic clenched his fists, fuming. He HATED it when Red spoke of his previous victories. Radic knew Red's pokémon were more powerful then his. But if he could exploit their weaknesses...
That's it! Radic snapped his fingers. Sweeping aside his coat so his belt showed, he grabbed a pokéball. He raised it in the air.
"GO R-"
"Nine-tails!"
Kitsune's cry reached his ears from behind him. Oops, he had forgotten to put Kitsune away! Red and Antartica laughed at him cruelly.
"Bwa ha ha! Some Pokémon master! So much for the "all-powerful" Radic!"
Radic made a angry noise. He placed the other pokéball slowly on the ground, and took out Kitsune's. Kitsune hopped in with a flash of white. Radic picked up the Pokéball. He raised it in the air, and threw it dramatically. It popped open with a flare of yellow energy.
"Go! I choose YOU, Rai-chu!"
The orange creature popped out, waving it's lightning bolt tipped tail around. It smiled evilly, generating electricity between it's two paws. It began building up it's attack. It placed it's tail flat on the ground, to prevent it from shocking itself. Red looked surprised, then came back.
"HA! Even though your Raichu is electric, and Antartica IS considered a bird, my Articuno will STILL defeat him! Antartica! Blizzard!"
"Rai-chu! THUNDERBOLT!"
Articuno flapped it's great blue wings, blowing frigid air in Raichu's direction. Rai-chu had been building energy between it's paws. It smiled again.
"Raaaaaaiiiii...." it said, closing it's eyes and curling up. The blizzard swirled around Rai-chu. Raichu suddenly exploded outwards with vicious built up energy.
"CHUUUUUUUUUUU!" it cried, it's voice echoing around the ring. The lightning lanced through the ice storm, striking Antartica square in it's breast-feathers. Freezing icicles began landing near Rai-chu, and it closed it's eyes and grunted, trying to keep it's ground.
Slowly ice began forming on it's body, freezing it. Rai-chu managed to move a small distance forward. It's thunderbolt had hurt Antartica badly, but it was still alive. Radic looked on concerned, determination on his features.
"C'mon Rai-chu! Come on! Break free! Break free!"
Antartica let out an angry cry, and spread it's mighty wings. The huge bird soared high in the air. Red laughed.
"Watch your stupid Raichu get a taste of Antartica's REAL power!"
The Articuno hovered in the air. Then it swooped down.
"Antartica! Drill peck!"
Rai-chu opened it's eyes wide, and gave a high-pitched shriek of terror, watching the powerful bird circle closer and closer.
"RAAI-CHUU!"
"Hang in there Rai-chu! Thundershock!"
Rai-chu clenched it's paws, trying hard to ignore the freezing pain as the ice began numbing it's body. It tried to access the electricity in it's cheeks. Antartica swooped closer.
"RAAAAAIII-CHUUUU!" Radic cried desperatly. Antartica swopped down, and began spiraling in mid-air, swirling so fast it's body became a blue blur. Rai-chu opened it's eyes in horror, a faint energy crackling around it's cheeks. Antartica hit Rai-chu hard in it's side, tearing a huge gash in Rai-chu's skin. Rai-chu gave an agonized cry of pain, The ice spraying from it's body in icy showers. It could move. It panted, laying on it's side, bleeding.
"Rai-chu..." Radic said concerned.
Rai-chu pulled itself up, and closed it's eyes in concentration. "Raaaaiii...."
Antartica hovered a short distance above it, wondering if it was dead. It noticed the energy building around the gravely wounded Raichu. It squawked, fearing another electrical attack.
"CHUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Rai-chu screamed, letting out all it's electric energy in one frenzied burst. The energy hit Articuno in it's head, striking a critical hit. Antartica spiraled crazily down and struck the ground in a flurry of blue feathers.
"Antartica!"
"Rai-chu!"
The two trainers cried out, concerned for their pokémon. The ice now formed a layer over Rai-chu's body, still there even though the outer layer was gone. Raichu was frozen. Antartica managed to lift it's head, but then couldn't move. It was paralyzed. Radic, regardless of the rules, ran out into the ring to look at Rai-chu. Rai-chu blinked feebly at him.
"Rai...rai..rai chu..." it said softly. Radic looked over and saw that Red was looking at his Articuno, now scorched. Red noticed that Radic had seen him looking over his Pokémon, and flushed embarrassed. he picked up the now weak bird.
"This match isn't over yet, Radic."
Radic was too busy placing a hand on Rai-chu's forehead, between the webbed ears. Rai-chu looked at him one last time.
"Rai..." Then Rai-chu fainted. Radic shook Rai-chu, and made sure he was in faint. Then he recalled Rai-chu. Red recalled Antartica.
"That's one Pokémon down, Radic. You just got lucky on that last battle. I'll make sure your down to none in no time." Red said mockingly, placing Antartica's ball back on his belt. Radic looked at Red furiously, angry and now determined to avenge Raichu's defeat.
"It's far from over, Red. Far...from...over."

An Epic Battle = Part 3

Red and Radic stared at eachother from the blood-spattered and now empty Pokéring. There was a silence.
"Bring out your pokémon first." Red said.
"No, you do it."
"Fine. I'm not a coward." Red said mockingly. Flipping through the balls on his belt, he chose one. Twirling it on one finger, he then let it expand. Then he threw it into the pokéring.
"Go! Rockybalbo, I choose YOU!"
The Pokéball burst open with a spray of energy, and the golem stood in the middle of the pokéring, growling. Radic contained the urge to laugh at it. The golem looked so stupid. But he had more pressing matters. He reached for Accident's ball. He threw it into the Pokéring.
"GO ACCIDENT!"
The pokéball burst open, and a parasect sat in the middle of the ring.
Red laughed hysterically.
"Can't tell your own pokémon apart? Bwa ha ha!"
"Paras, leech life!"
"And why in the world is it called Paras when it's a parasect? RockyBalbo, Megapunch!"
Radic narrowed his eyes. It was true, he had liked it much better when his parasect had been a Paras. But he couldn't change it now. Paras gurgled from beneath it's mushroom hood, and sent out it's too long pincers, suspended on strands of vines.
"Parasssect..."
The vines wrapped around the golem's body, finally chunking the two pincers deep into the Golem's hide. Energy began coursing down them into Parasects body. But RockyBalbo was not finished yet.
"Gooooo...."
It raised it's huge rock fist, and slammed it down on Parasects mushroom top.
"Leeeem!"
It went almost all the way through, almost touching the parasects insect body. The parasect shuddered as it felt it's mushroom shield began to weaken. it continued sucking energy from Rockybalbo, but it wasn't enough. Parasect was almost in faint.
"PARAS RETURN!"
The Parasect returned in a beam of light.
"So much for Paras." Red said mockingly. Radic growled and looked through his Pokémon. he chose another pokéball.
"GO ACCIDENT!"
The ball burst open with a spray of water, and the mighty blastoise stood in the center of the ring, it's cannons focused directly on the Golem. The turtle made a happy gurgling noise
"Blastooooise.."
Rockybalbo stepped back automatically. Red shouted without hesitation. "ROCKYBALBO! SELF DESTRUCT!"
The golem curled into a tight ball."Gooooo...." Accident looked surprised. Both him and Radic ran to the very outskirts of the ring. "LEM!"
There was a humongous explosion, and Accident hit the side of the Ring hard. The sharpnel pieces from RockyBalbo struck Accident in the tender parts of his body. It gave a shriek of pain.
"BLASTOISE!"
"Accident!"
Red looked sort of sad as he examined the remains of his golem.
"I'm sorry you had to do that Rockybalbo....really, I am. Rockybalbo, return!"
The beams of light from the Pokéball lanced over the pokéring, picking up the broken pieces of the golem, even from Accidents body. Accident had more then a dozen puncture wounds on his body, he was bleeding constantly.
"Accident, return!"
Accident retreated back into the Pokéball.
"Well, Radic, it seems your most powerful Pokémon is almost dead."
"Because of you and your cheap tricks!"
"Cheap tricks?" Red looked innocent, "It's a natural move any Geodude-Graveler-Golem can learn. it's legitimate."
Radic clenched his teeth. He was right, it was a legitimate move. he looked through his Pokéballs, one of the constant red lights flickering out. Rai-chu's ball. He took it out and looked at it. His other Pokéballs had red lights on the front. but Rai-chu's light had gone out. And when he looked at Accident's, it's light was barely on. He narrowed his eyes angrily at Red. He swept his coat aside, chose a pokéball, and then threw it in the ring.
"TAKACHAN, I CHOOSE YOU!"

An Epic Battle = Part 4!

The Pokéball Radic had thrown burst open.
"Wait, I forgot who Takachan is." Red said, looking puzzled. Radic smiled.
"You'll see."
With a piercing cry of "Doduo!", echoed by another cry came from the new pokémon in the ring, Red still looked confused.
"Takachan? What kind of name is Takachan?"
"I like it! Choose your pokémon!"
"Fine. I will. GO SLEEPY!"
The pokéball flew from his hand, expanding in the air. It burst open almost lazily. The Pokéball flew back into Red's hand. There was a snoring noise. Radic was slightly taken aback.
"A Snorlax?"
"That's right!"
"No matter, I'll take care of him! Takachan, FLY!"
"Sleepy, Amnesia!"
One of Takachan's heads looked at the snorlax, and the other looked at the sky. Takachan flapped it's pathetic excuse for wings, and lifted a centimeter of the ground. Suddenly the power of the HM that had been given to it surged through the doduo. Almost impossibly, Takachan lifted high into the air.
"Doduoooo!"
The Snorlax layed on it's back. It slowly began forgetting things that were troubling it. Now it could fully focus on it's special attacks. Takachan fluttered above it, looking ungainly and clumsy as it hovered in the air, one of it's heads squaking "Doduo!" in a plantitive plea to let itself down. The other head remained focused. It swooped down at fantastic speeds, hitting Sleepy in the side with it's wings and talons. It tore several gashes in Sleepy's side, but Sleepy barely noticed. Takachan landed with a flurry of feathers, but got up again quickly.
"Doduo..."One head said grumpily. The other head began arguing with it. They began pecking at eachother until Radic told them to stop.
"Sleepy, do SLEEP now!" Red shouted.
"Takachan! Peck!"
Sleepy let out a huge exhalation of air and swiftly fell asleep. Slowly energy pulsed around it's body, and it's wounds began healing before Radic's eyes.
"Stupid Snorlax and it's cheap moves..." Radic mumbled to himself. Red looked at him angrily.
"WHAT WAS THAT?"
"Nothing."
Takachan raced around on it's feet, dashing around in blurs of feathers. It ran on top of Sleepy, and perched itself above it's head. Then both heads began coming down alternately, their beaks striking at the Snorlax's head. Snorlax took damage, it's face bleeding. It couldn't do anything against Takachan, because it was still asleep. Red looked frustrated.
"Come ON Sleepy, WAKE UP!"
Sleepy refused too.
"Takachan, Wing attack!"
The Doduo spread it's feeble wings, and made a X across the Snorlax's chest with it's new, razor sharp wing feathers. Again the Snorlax took damage, but it couldn't do anything. Takachan was in trouble, it wasn't taking enough damage! It had to make Sleepy faint before it woke up and could use it's Sleep attack.
"Takachan, return!"
Takachan returned in a beam of light.
"What are you doing?" Red said angrily. Radic only smiled mysteriously, glad that Red was being frustrated at his peculiar tactics. He looked through his Pokéballs. He choose one and threw it into the center of the ring.
"Go Meoweth!"
The Pokéball burst open, revealing a Persian licking itself serenly
in the ring. It opened it's eyes, which glowed eerily near it's whiskers.
"Still haven't changed it's name, huh?"
"I like that name."
"And it's Meowth by the way."
Radic fumed. "I named it the way I pronounced it!"
Sleepy's rumbling snores shook the pokéring.
"Meoweth! Bite attack NOW!"
"Peeerssiiian!" Meoweth cried, leaping upon Sleepy. It bit it's stomach viciously, ripping a large chunk from it, spraying blood everywhere.
"Sleepy!" Red cried distressed.
"My pokémon aren't taking enough damage!" Radic thought angrily to himself. He opened his eyes wide as Sleepy woke up.
"Sleepy! Head butt!" Red cried. Sleepy grabbed the Persian by it's neck, raising itself of the ground. Meoweth struggled as the Snorlax's grip on it tightened.
"Meoweth! Bite!"
The Persian opened it's mouth and buried it's fangs in Sleepy's paw. The Snorlax ignored it. Sleepy threw Meoweth into the air.
"Persiaaaaaaann!" Meoweth cried in fear. As it came down, Sleepy head butted it with amazing speed compared to it's bulk.
The Persian went flying.
"Meoweth!" Radic cried, his eyes open wide in distress.
It soared in the air, hitting the wall of the pokéring hard. It landed with a thump. Red laughed. Meoweth slowly got up. It's eyes glew red with tremendous anger. Radic shouted outloud.
"Meoweth! SCREECH!"
"PeeeeeerrrSIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN!" Meoweth screeched at an incredibly high volume. It's high pitched shriek echoed around the pokéring, causing Radic, Red, and Sleepy to hold their ears. Sleepy gave a rumble of pain, letting down it's defenses.
"Sleepy! SLEEP!"
The Snorlax complied immediately, falling over with a huge earthquake like thump. Both Radic and Meoweth jumped as the ground shook beneath them. Without hesitation, the wounds previously inflicted on the Snorlax healed, only a small cut on it's face remaining. It was too hurt to regain it's full energy. Meoweth growled angrily, letting it's claws out. It bared it's fangs angrily, it's curled tail lashing behind it. The jewel on it's head shone dangerously.
"MEOWETH! PAY DAY!"
The Persian looked surprised, it wanted a better attack to do then that! But it complied. It leaped into the air, extending it's long claws. As it flew over Sleepy, it slashed downwards, ripping gashes in Sleepy's stomach. It then landed and jumped again, crashing into Red.
"HEY!"
The Persian sat on Red's chest, and then began rifling through his pockets. Red struggled, but couldn't get up.
"Sleepy! Head butt!" He cried, furious. The Snorlax only replied by snoring, it still sleeping. Meoweth had Red pinned. He picked out a couple things from Red's pockets, while Radic fell on the ground laughing his head off. Meoweth then found Red's wallet. Flipping through it, it grabbed some of Red's money, as much as it could hold in it's mouth, then leapt off Red's chest. It jumped on top of Sleepy, and jumped over to Radic. It dropped the money in Radic's hand. Red jumped up, rubbing his chest. The Persian had been heavy at 71 pounds!
"THAT'S NOT FAIR! Give me back my MONEY!"
Radic wagged a finger, imitating Red cruelly.
"Ah ah ah, all's fair in love, war, and Pokémon battles. It's a legimate move all Meowth/Persian's learn."
Red grew an angry red.
"Sleepy, Return!"
Sleepy went lazily back into it's pokéball. Radic laughed hysterically.
"Bwa ha ha! You looked so funny when Meoweth was sitting on your chest!" He laughed. He stroked his Persian's head affectiaonatly with one hand. It's rumbling purrs shook his body. Red face was a angry flushed red.
"I'll show YOU and your stupid Persian!"
He flipped through his pokéballs, grabbing one. He let it expand in his hand, clenching his teeth and his fists. He threw it dramatically.
"GO RATTY!" He yelled dramatically.

To be Continued!

Ryo Oke, do you mean the one Oh No!/A new bloody Story? I did read it. It's sounded a lot like others I've heard....Someday, I'm gonna write another story dealing with that. Also, on another note, My brother complained about how everything it shown from my side of the story. I might write one from Red's point of view later on. I think Calypte might like this episode...it deals with the Rattata species...anyway, on to...

An Epic Battle = Part 5!

The Pokéball red had thrown burst open wildly, the pokéball almost shattering from the power coming from the pokémon that emerged. Whiskers bristling, Fangs Glistening, it's powerful muscles churning under it's thick coat, the Raticate known as Ratty stood in the middle of the pokéring. It began drooling, it's eyes narrowed and eager in the anticipation of the taste of flesh. Radic looked terrified. This was what he had feared! Ratty, red's legendary pokémon, the Pokémon that was highest level, most talented, fastest of all. Even though most said Raticate was weak, or wasn't a good pokémon, Red had known otherwise. Now he reaped the benefits of his faith, much to Radic's dismay. Radic began shivering. How in the world could he defeat Ratty?
"RRRRRRATICATE!" Ratty cried, it's shrill voice echoing in the Pokéring. Meoweth growled. Rattata was it's natural enemy. Radic looked down at the Persian. He gulped.
"M...M...Meoweth...are you sure you want to fight Ratty?" he said. The Persian nodded. Radic nodded back.
"Okay then. MEOWETH, BITE!"
"Persiaaan!"
Before the Persian could move, Red shouted outloud.
"RATTY! HYPER FAAAANG!"
"RRRRRATICATE!" with that shrieking cry, the Raticate leaped forward. Meoweth began running forward, but the Raticate was much faster then the poor Persian. It sank it's fangs into Meoweth's back. The Persian gave a shriek of pain. "PERSIAN!" The Raticate's fangs began chomping on the Persian's spine so fast they became a blur. Blood spattered everywhere. Meoweth lowered his head and bit deep into Ratty's leg. The Raticate lifted it's mouth from the chewed up back of the Persian.
"RRRAAAAAAATICAAAATE!" It cried in pain. But Meoweth was half into faint. Ratty had taken almost no damage from Meoweth's attack.
"MEOWETH, BIIIIDE!" Radic cried desperatly. Red laughed.
"Why in the world did you give that attack to a Persian of all things? Another thing, the Pokémon who uses Bide has to SURVIVE! Ratty, QUICK ATTACK!"
"RRRATICATE!"
"Peeeeeeeerrrsiaaaaaaaann..." Meoweht called energy into itself. It huddled into a small ball. The Raticate zipped to the other side of the ring, then ran back, becoming a blur. As it ran by, it leaped on Meoweth, and began tearing madly with it's claws and fangs. Sweat beaded on Meoweth's fur as it strained to stay awake.
"Peeeer....Peeersiaaan...."
Ratty face contorted into a cruel mockery of a smile, caused by the huge fangs which caused it's mouth to contort. Meoweth was bleeding, badly. Inside it's curled up ball, it was crying from pain. Red waved a hand drawmatically.
"Okay, Ratty, Finish it off! HYPER FAANG!"
"RRRRRRRRRRRRAAATICATE!"
Meoweth gave a muffled yelp from it's ball, and Ratty chewed viciously on the persian's back. After Raticate had finished, Meoweth unrolled from it's ball. It opened it's eyes.
"Per..."it managed to gasp, then it fainted.
"MEOWEEETH!" Radic cried, tears coming from his eyes. He jumped the railing and ran to Meoweth side, holding the fainted Persian to him. He sat there for a while, making sure Meoweth was in faint, then he looked at Red with a glare of intense determination.
"I WILL defeat Ratty."
Red closed an eye.
"I don't need Ratty to defeat your weak pokémon, I just did that for revenge."
"Revenge..." Radic muttered, staring at him from beneath his cap. He opened Meoweth's Pokéball, and a flash of light later, the Persian was gone. He walked back to his side of the ring, ignoring the blood on his jacket. He was infused with new determination. He picked a Pokéball.
"Ratty, Return!"
The Raticate returned to it's Pokéball reluctantly. Red choose his own Pokémon. They both threw at the same time.
"GO Weirdo!"
"GO KITSUNE!"
As both pokémon popped out, Red looked surprised and Radic looked happy. Red held out his Pokéball.
"Weirdo, ret-"
"KITSUNE, QUICK ATTACK!"
"Nine taaaaaaaails!"
The nine tails ran forward, charging until it was a blur of white. It hit Weirdo hard, and the vileplume went sailing. It landed in the Pokéring, and then it fainted. Red recalled it.
"So That makes it 4 pokémon to 4 pokémon."
"Yes it does."
"GO ANTARTICA!"
The Articuno burst from it's Pokéball. Radic looked surprised.
"Rai-chu..." he thought, "Rai-chu is in faint! How can I defeat Antartica without him?!"
"Kitsune, EMBER!" Radic shouted. The Kitsune began stoking it's internal furnace.
"Antartica, DRILL PECK!"
The Articuno flew up high, then dove down, twirling at fantastic speeds, making it's body a blue blur. Kitsune tried to focus on the blur, but it couldn't handly it. The Articuno dug into it's back, cutting a huge slash across Kitsune's back leg.
"NINE TAAAAAAIIILS!" Kitsune shrieked in pain. It fell heavily on it's side. it breathed heavily, it's eyes wide in pain. Tears flowed from it's eyes. It shook it's head, wailing piteausly.
"Nine tails! Nine tails!"
"Antartica, BLIZZARD!"
The Articuno tried to move, but found itself paralyzed. One effect of Radic's Raichu was left! Radic pointed at Antartica.
"Kitsune, Swift attack!"
The Kitsune's flank twitched, it's flinching coming to late. Kitsune didn't listen.
"KISTUNE, NO! LISTEN, LISTEN!"
"ANTARTICA! Wing Attack!"
"Articuuunooooooo!"
"KIIIITSUUNNNEE!" Radic cried desperatly.
The Articuno shook off the lingering affects of the paralysis, and rose into the air. It flapped it's mighty wings. Kitsune pulled itself upwards, staring at the rising Articuno with terror-filled eyes.
"Nine tails!" it cried in terror. The Articuno dove at Kitsune. It extended one newly sharpened wing, and slashed Kitsune against the back.
"NIIIINE!" Kitsune cried, not able to formulate it's cry properly.
Articuno swirled around, and slashed another cross across Kitsune's back. The Nine-Tails rolled over, and layed still. Tears flowed openly down Radic's face.
"Kitsune, NO!"
He pulled out Kitsune's Pokéball, and Kitsune returned. He stroked the ball affectionatly, shedding one last tear. Red looked at him.
"You'll never get far in battling if you get that emotionaly involved with all your pokémon. I care about Ratty and nothing else."
Radic could not formulate a Reply, he only placed the now lightless pokéball along with the two others. He wiped his face with one dirty hand. He picked another pokéball.
"GO PARAS!" He cried, his voice strained with emotion. Red grabbed another Pokéball from his belt and threw it into the ring.
"GO GROWLY!"

To be continued...

I Found out that a Snorlax's attack isn't sleep, it's rest. Oops.

An Epic Battle= Part 6!

The wounded Parasect landed in the middle of the Pokéring, it's mushroom top having several holes in it. It watched from beneath it's hood as the Arcanine leaped into the pokéring. The legendary dog growled.
"Arrrrrrrrcanine...."
"Parasssssssect..."
The two looked at eachother. There was a slight pause as Growly looked at Paras and Paras looked at Growly. Then the two trainers yelled at the same time.
"GROWLY, BITE!!"
"PARAS, LEECH LIFE!"
The Arcnine leaped forward, but only to have Paras's pincers wrap around it's body. They chunked deep into Growly's sides. Unlike RockyBalbo, Growly began bleeding.
"Arca! Arca!" Growly barked. Para's began sucking energy from the Arcanine. It's mushroom top rapidly began to regrow. Growly opened it's mouth wide and bit at one of the vines holding the pincers. It missed.
"GROWLY YOU IDIOT!" Red shouted in frustration. Another burst of energy traveled down the vines into Para's body, rapidly replenishing it's health.
"Growly, Ember!" Red shouted. The Arcanine growled, and breathed a column of fire at Para's mushroom top. it glanced off, instead hitting to vines holding Growly in the air. They caught on fire.
"PARASSSSEEECT!" Paras screamed, a chittering cry of pain. It withdrew it's pincers with a squelsh, and Growly dropped to the ground. Swiftly Paras used it's tiny fangs, and bit off the vines at the base before the fire could spread to it's main body. The thrashing burning vines which once held it's pincers rolled across the pokéring. Paras stepped back. Growly growled, the internal fire in it lighting it's eyes.
"PARAS, CUT!"
"GROWLY, QUICK ATTACK!"
Paras took one of it's useless dragging vines, already growing back. It would take weeks for the pincers to regrow, but the vines that held it were coming back. Growly dashed forward, a streak of orange and black. He leaped over Paras, extending a clawed paw downwards. It carved a chunk from Para's back. Paras chittered. It waved it's new vine dangerously. Before Growlys eyes the vine's edge grew into razor blade sharpness. Faster then the eye could follow, this vine took Growly across the face. The bleeding slash now covered Growly's white mane in blood, and Growly bared it's fangs. Paras chittered from beneath it's hood.
"PARA'S, SPORE!"
"GROWLY, EEMMMBEERR!"
Both of the trainers shouted dramatically. A small section of Para's back seemed to explode, sending a huge amount of dust into the air. It slwoly floated down, landing on Growly. Growly shook his head. Stoking it's furnace, it breathed a mouthful of fire at the Parasect. An edge of Para's mushroom hood caught on fire. It slumped down, the fire burning it's way across it's back. It gave a chittering whimper. Growly was blinking hard as the spore's dust rained down on it. It yawned, then hit the ground hard with a thump. It was asleep immediately.
"PAAARAASS!" Radic called. The Parasect looked at Radic.
"Parasssssect...." it said, and it fainted dead away. Radic recalled Paras.
"What does that bring us down too? 2 against...ooo let me count..."
"SHUT UP!"
"2 against 4."
Radic clenched his teeth. Red grabbed a Pokéball from his belt. he threw it into the ring.
"GO SLEEPY!"
The Snorlax stumbled out of the pokéball lazily, and sat down. Radic looked at his Pokéballs. Only 2 had their lights still on. One was faint and far-away, while the other was bright and clear. He knew which was which. He grabbed the pokéball with the faint light, and threw it into the Pokéring.
"GO ACCIDENT!"
With a splash of water the pokémon burst from the pokéball. The blastoise looked around, it's vision half marred from the blood in it's eyes. it sprayed it's eyes clear with a blast of water, then stood in the ring, ready to fight even though it's previous injuries from it's fight with RockyBalbo showed.
"SLEEPY, HEADBUTT!"
"ACCIDENT, WITHDRAW!"
The Snorlax almost grumpily got up and reached for the Blastoise with one massive paw. The Blastoise, thick as it was, was not too heavy to avoid an attack from this sleepy creature. It dodged n imbly. It then splashed water from it's cannon's straight up, and it slashed down on Accident. It solidfied into a barrier around him, thickening his skin and improving his defense.
"Sleepy, AMNESIA!"
"Accident, BITE!"
The Snorlax yawned, forgetting what happened before. It began to focus on it's specials. The Blastoise ran forward, and lunged into the Snorlax, biting deep into it's arm. It gave a bellow of pain, it's arm bleeding heavily.
Radic pumped a fist. Yeah! Now this was taking off damage!
"Sleepy, REST!"
The Snorlax fell backwards with a earth-jarring thump, but the Blastoise was not moved so easily. The Snorlax's injuries healed before Radic's eyes. The Blastoise was ready for battle, it's shell glistening.
"Accident, Surf!"
"Blaaastoiise!"
The Blastoise raised it's paws to the air. "Blaaaaaaaassssstoise!" it called. Beneath Sleepy, the ground began to shake. The Blastoise lowered it's paws and smiled. The ground beneath sleepy burst with fountains of water. The Snorlax was lifted a micrometer of the ground. Accident ran and leaped into one of the fontains, curling into it's shell. The shell bounced from one fountain to another, gaining speed until it hit Snorlax with full Power. Sleepy rolled a couple times, but remained asleep. Accident leaped from the fountain's of water as they descended. He stomped toward the sleeping pokémon. Vengeance glittered in it's eyes, reflecting it's trainer's own hatred.
"ACCIDENT, WATERGUN!"
The Blastoise lowered it's Cannon's until the focused directly on the sleeping pokémon. Sleepy snored on. The Blastoise smiled grimly, as Radic clenched a fist and watched with a feeling of revenge on his face...

An Epic Battle = Part 7!

Water glistened on the muscular body of the Blastoise, it's cannon's chunking into place. The aimed squarely at the sleeping Snorlax. Accident got on all fours, and took the supply of water in it's own body. A vicious spray fo water shot from the cannons, and hit Sleepy hard in the side. Sleepy rolled over several times. Both Radic and Red waited....Sleepy didn't wake up. Radic looked at the Snorlax with wide eyes.
"I think it's in faint."
"No it's not." Red vaulted the Ring's side's easily and walked up to the Snorlax. Accident growled angrily, but obeyed it's trainer and stayed away from Red. Red kicked Sleepy. There was no response from the huge Pokémon.
"Well, you were right. It is in faint." Red said grumpily. He recalled Sleepy. Radic smiled to himself, he liked being right. Red returned to his side of the ring. He looked at his Pokéballs, and then smiled conscendingly to Radic.
"Well, let's see. I'll be nice and let you try and beat up my other pokémon before Ratty comes and faints your Pokémon."
"Don't give me your pity."
"Fine. GROWLY GO!"
The Pokéball burst open, and the sleeping Arcanine snored in the center of the ring. Red clenched his fists.
"I forgot it was asleep!"
"Accident, Bite!"
The Blastoise ran forward, biting deep into Arcanine's back. Growly gave a shudder, and then sort of flopped over loosely, as if all it's muscles had lost their power, bleeding in a big pool on the ground. Red recalled it.
"So Maybe Growly is in faint, but I still have Antartica and Ratty."
"Go ahead." Radic said, glad that the numbers were more even.
"GO, ANTARTICA!"
The Articuno burst from the Pokéball in a flurry of ice and feathers.
"Accident, Return!"
Accident came back to his Pokéball. He grabbed his only other ball. He flipped it off one finger, caught it, and threw it, where it expanded and burst open as it hit the floor.
"Go Takachan!"
The Doduo burst out. It quailed against the icy glare of the other bird. The Articuno was far more powerful then Takachan could ever be. One head began looking back at Radic.
"Do duo doduo dodo!" It said, begging to be brought back in the Pokéball. The other head joined it. Radic made a no signal with his hands. The two heads turned only to see Antartica Swirling down at them! They hadn't heard Red when he said Drillpeck! Takachan leaped aside just in time, showing tremondous co-ordination for it's kind. Antartica spat out dirt, and it's eyes narrowed angrily.
"Antartica, BLIZZARD!" Red shouted.
"Takachan, Wing Attack!" Radic cried.
Antrartica flapped it's powerful wings and flew high into the air. "Arrrrrrrticunoooooo!" it cried. it began flapping it's wings, blowing the cold air enamanating from it's own body down towards Takachan in icy streams. Both of Takachan's heads alternately began crying "Doduo!" over and over. Takachan was blown backwards into a wall heavily, where it was frozen in place. Slowly it began to freeze. Antartica abruptly lost it's ability to move, and fell to the ground in a undignified heap of feathers. Takachan was almost in faint. A sudden icy burst from it's frozen prizon caused Takachan to cry out. "DO DUOO!" it screamed in pain. Both it's heads closed their eyes and drooped.
"Takachaaaan!" Radic cried. Red smiled.
"Ha, No Contest."
"SHUT UP! GO ACCIDENT!"
The Blastoise reappeared, the gashes in it's body refusing to heal. The scratchs from it's fight with Growly still bled down it's face. That seemed so long ago.
"ACCIDENT, BITE!"
The Blastoise began running across the Pokéring towards the still form in the middle. Rai-chu's paralysis was lasting for a long time. "ANTARTICA, DRILL PECK!"
The Articuno could not move, it's only reply a slight twtch from it's tail-feathers. Accident stood above the wounded Articuno. It looekd down with a mixture of hatred and vengeance shining in it's eyes, just like they did in it's trainers. It opened it's mouth wide, and closed them with a sickening crunch on Articuno's back. The Articuno couldn't even move to make a cry. Antartica fainted.
"BLAAAASSSTOOOOOOOOOOISSSEEE!" Accident cried to the sky, proud of it's victory. The Articuno came back into the pokéball in a flash of blue light. Red looked at his belt, with the only one Pokéball, it's light brightly shining.
"GO RAAAATTTY!"
The Pokéball burst open. The Raticate, it's massive muscles and fangs glittering, stared at the shimmering and blood covered Blastoise. One of Raticate's legs was bleeding. The two most powerful pokémon looked at eachother from across the ring. Only the steady sound of blood dripping off both contestants could be heard...

An Epic Battle = Final Chapter

The two trainers watched their pokémon stare at eachother. Accident and Ratty moved in slow circles, studying eachother with bloodshot angry eyes. Their anger was their trainers, and it was intense.
"Blastoiseee..."Accident said. (Translation: Rai-chu...)
"Rrrrrrraticate!" Ratty cried. (Translation: Rockybalbo!)
Their trainers feelings were so intense they became reflected in their pokémon. Accident chunked it's cannon's forward. Ratty bared it's huge fangs.
"ACCIDENT, WATER GUN!"
"RATTY, FOCUS ENERGY!"
Radic watched confused.
"What the heck are you doing, Red?"
"I want all my Ratty's power to be accumulated, so that Ratty will shred your stupid Blastoise so badly it will never recover!"
"That can't happen." Radic said nervously. Red smiled.
"We'll find out, won't we?"
There was a jet of water sprayed from Accident's cannons, splashing all over the Raticate. Ratty closed it's eyes and leaned against the torrent of water. It raised it's paws to the sky, wet and gleaming.
"RRRRRRAAATICAAAAATE!" It screamed, glowing as it's energy began accumulating. Accident backed away, baring it's fangs. The Raticate almost seemed to gain size, it's muscles growing and flexing under it's wet, sleek coat.
"ACCIDENT, WITHDRAW!"
Red smiled secretively as he waited for Accident to finish. He laughed cruelly.
"Your stupid Blastoise's tricks won't help it. When Ratty does Hyper Fang, your Accident is done for."
Radic clenched his teeth angrily. He didn't stand a chance, his Blastoise was weak and almost in faint already. The Raticate stood in the center of the ring, smiling as it waited for it's owner to give the command to attack.
"ACCIDENT, WATERGUN!"
Red was snapped out of his pleasant reverie.
"RATTY, HYPERFANG!"
Accident had the advantage, it blasted it's most powerful streams at the Raticate. The Raticate stumbled back for a moment, and lost it's footing. It flew to the back of the pokéring, hitting the wall with stunning force. There was a snap as one of it's bones broke. The Raticate's eyes grew red as it glared at the Blastoise with terrible intensity. Radic looked at the Raticate, startled by the hatred in it, until he noticed Red looking at him with the same intense hatred. He stared back, and Accident returned Ratty's glare. These were the two pokémon their trainers cared the most about. The Raticate leaped forward, bringing Radic and Red's attention back to the pokéring. It leapt on the Blastoise, knocking it over. It began tearing at the Blastoise's belly with it's sharp fangs. The Blastoise was enraged, it began ignoring it's trainers command. It bit into Raticate's shoulder.
"RRRRRRAAATICAAAAATE!" The Raticate screamed. The Two rolled over and over in the ring, fighting, clawing, biting, and scratching. The Raticate bit at Accident's hard shell with it's hyperfang, punching a hole in it. He chewed at the flesh beneath viciously, as Accident chomped off Ratty's Tail. there were altrenate cries of pain from both creatures, as their Trainers yelled frantically.
"STOP! STOP ACCIDENT! LISTEN TO ME!"
"RATTY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
The two pokémon were so ovecome with their trainer's hatred that they began fighting not only to make the other faint, but to kill the other. Each pokémon was so closely linked with it's owner, that memories flitted by their minds. For Ratty, memories of being hugged at night By Red, being taken care of when he got sick, the first time he evolved, the comfortable pokéball Red provided for him, made Ratty's muscles stand out like wires. Accident remembered Radic with great fondness, as they swam together, played together, how Radic had been supportive when he had evolved, and never EVER took him out of his attack team. Accident was that important.
The two pokémon let out roars of rage, angry cries that shook the pokégym. The Raticate leaped free, half off balance because of it's missing tail. The Blastoise's cannon on one side hung limp, it's base knawed away. The two pokémon stood at distances from one another, and stared. Blood ran in rivulets down their bodies. Both trainers watched silently as their pokémon's hate grew higher and higher.
"Woah, never seen Accident do that." Radic said. Red nodded.
"Ratty never been so angry."
"And it's because of OUR hatred...our pokémon are changing."
The two trainers stared at one another. The thought of peace crossed their minds. Peace for their pokémon. Then they looked at eachother.
"ACCIDENT, KILL THE RATICATE! DO IT FOR RAI-CHU!
"RATTY, KILL THE BLASTOISE! DO IT NOW, FOR ROCKYBALBO!"
The two pokémon's eyes glew red. As if in slow motion, The Raticate leaped forward, and bit into Accident's neck. The Blastoise gurgled, and then batted Ratty away. The Blastoise hit the ground with an earth shaking thump, it's eyes closing at last...
in faint.
Ratty and Red remained silent for a while, looking at the Crest-fallen look on Radic's face as he knelt near his favorite pokémon.
Red laughed, and Ratty laughed with him.

The End.
