Violet

Violet is a girl that believes the value of things lies in appearances. Having been raised from birth into a society that only cared for the appearance of things, shown by the obvious preference shown for cute Pokémon, Violet didn't fight and just believed whole-sale into the false values. She didn't really have any other choice.

Violet learned from others that being shallow was how to get what you needed in the world. After all, it was always the manipulative, the sneaky, the stupid, and the pretty who seemed to make it into positions of power. Violet wanted to be League Champion ever since she first saw Red. That was how to get her power. So Violet tried to become like the successful people she saw, to try and become that false ideal to get the power she wanted.

Violet has only a few Pokémon, cute ones that she has not trained whatsoever. They don't obey her, and like many Pokémon, took on most of her traits.

Violet envied the League Champion because he seemed to have retained his intelligent, assertive personality even after being so popular. Violet wanted to keep her personality.

Violet met with her dream, Red the League Champion, while he had just been released from the hospital. Overcome with envy and admiration, she fawned over him like she had seen others do. He reacted just as she expected, which at some level pleased her. Violet and Buzzaki.

After she met Red, she caught Buzzaki, her Pikachu, who has yet to take on any of her traits, except her new hatred of Red. Buzzaki doesn't wany any harm to come to Violet. Buzzaki's name for her is Chupika, while Radic is Chuchuka and Red is Pichupi. After meeting with Radic, before the two trainers had begun their argument over Radic's lack of sight, Violet realized she was attracted to him because of his quiet personality. If she could have him, she would have power over him. She wanted him.

One thing stood in her way. Red. Her feelings about Red immediately took a 180 turn from admiration to jealous hatred.

Violet doesn't know how to act around Radic, because, as Red pointed out, Radic had never seen her. How could someone love someone they never saw? The concept was foreign. Also, she didn't know how to impress or act around someone blind, having placed such value on her appearance her entire life. It's incredibly frustrating.

Violet deeply hates Red for loving Radic. Having caught them kissing by accident, she realized that there was something truly standing between her and power, and that was Red. Red would not even allow her power over Radic. He had to have ALL the power. And Violet is convinced that all Red wants from Radic is the power he has over him.

Violet wants power over Radic herself, but doesn't want to use him as she is sure Red would. Violet is convinced that Red doesn't care about Radic (considering the many stories circulating involving the Champion and the Loser, and not to mention their constant bickering) and that Radic is being manipulated and controlled into a decision he doesn't want. She wants to take care of him like a child. It's not that her intentions are exactly malicious and in fact, are rather compassionate. She does care about Radic in her own way, and she does honestly want to help him and save him from Red's percieved threat.

Violet is shallow and superficial, but it isn't truly her fault. She's stubborn and doesn't like hearing "no" for an answer. She wants power in any way possible and will do anything to get it. She doesn't like ugly people or their ugly Pokémon and doesn't understand people who don't consider appearances important.

Violet appeared in Radic and Red, Continuum, and Nemo Me Impune Lacessit.

She's been mentioned in A Puppet without Strings, Veni Vidi Vici, and other fics.
