Caleb is a childhood friend of Ella E's, although later on it was decided that he should be her rival. He has blue eyes and blond hair. The decision to make him Ella E's rival was so that the two of them would have the other to help them feel motivated throughout their journeys. Since they both knew about this beforehand, it did not exactly work. Caleb chose a Charmander originally, but his abusive behavior, much like Ella E's, ended up making Ashstar take it away from him. Later on, Ella E gave him back his Pokémon, although the Charmander never forgave him.

Caleb had a habit of disappearing and reappearing in Ella E's adventure, finally appearing for good at one point and joining her party. He intensely hates Colt because the bigger boy reminds him of how weak he truly is. He's harbored a childhood crush for Ella E for most of his life, although he only admitted so much later.

Caleb really tries, but in the end most of the time he proves to be somewhat useless. He gets along well with Drak and Monty, but he continues to hate Colt with a passion. During the journey with Ella E, Caleb was attacked and recieved a huge scar across his face. This runs along the length of his face from his right eyebrow to his left jawbone.

Currently, after being roped into the entire rescue adventure with Drak, Caleb is waiting with Prof. Denka to see if there's an improvement on Colt's condition.
